Privacy Policy
Last updated September 30, 2026
This policy explains what information PAYHERO (“we”) collects through getpayhero.com, why, and what we do with it. We provide merchant payment-processing services to businesses in Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia.
What we collect
Contact details you give us: name, business name, phone number and email address.
Processing statements you upload (PDFs or photos). These contain your business’s card sales, fees and account details from your current processor.
Application details if you apply for an account: business and owner information, bank name, routing number, and the last four digits of your Social Security number and bank account number, plus any documents you upload, such as a photo ID or voided check. We do not collect full Social Security or bank account numbers on this website; those are entered directly in the payment processor’s own secure application.
Usage information collected automatically: pages visited, the link or ad that brought you here, device and browser type, and approximate location, through cookies and similar technologies described below.
How we use it
To analyze your statement and show you an estimate of your processing costs; to contact you about your review or application; to prepare and submit your merchant account application to our processing partners; to run and improve the website; to measure and improve our advertising; and to meet legal and compliance obligations.
How statements are analyzed
Uploaded statements are read by an AI service (Anthropic) that extracts totals such as monthly volume and fees. The service processes the file to return those numbers; it is not used to train AI models. Our team may also review your statement directly.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share it only with: payment processors and sponsor banks, to review and open your merchant account; service providers that run the site for us (hosting, secure file and database storage, email delivery, and AI statement analysis), under contracts limiting their use of it; advertising and analytics partners, as described below; and authorities when required by law.
Cookies, analytics and advertising
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, and the Meta Pixel and Google Ads to measure our ads and show ads to people who have visited the site. These tools use cookies and may collect information about your visits to this and other websites. You can opt out of Google’s ad personalization at adssettings.google.com, of Meta’s at facebook.com/adpreferences, and of Google Analytics with the browser add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. Your browser settings also let you block or delete cookies.
How we protect it and how long we keep it
Uploaded files are kept in private, access-controlled storage and shared with our team through links that expire. We keep statements and application records for as long as needed to provide our services and meet legal and card-network requirements, then delete them. You can ask us to delete your information at any time, subject to those requirements.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you by contacting us below. We will respond within the time required by applicable law.
Children
This website is for businesses and is not directed to anyone under 18.
Changes
We will post any changes on this page and update the date above.
